PULBOROUGH MINI RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

 

Under 10’s 11’s and 12’s Tour 2010

 

Dear Parents / Kids

 

Final Details you all need to know about our Tour in the next few weeks.

 

DATE - Friday 23rd April 2010

 

Please be at the club by 8.15 AM sharp  ..........................................  Do not be later.

 

Coaches are departing at 9.00 AM

 

You have a ferry crossing at 11.00 am from Portsmouth to Fishbourne on the Wightlink ferries.

 

We are staying at the Thorness Bay Holiday Park - 6 to a caravan.

All caravans have been pre allocated and you will find out your cohabiters on the first day of the tour.

You should arrive at this destination about 12.00 – 12.30

 

You will then have an hour or so free hour for unpacking and settling in.

 

Each caravan will be given an essential pack ............................................................................

 

Bread / Milk / Jam / Tea / Coffee / Sugar / Squash / Biscuits / and finally toilet Roll. !!!

 

Electricity included - no tokens this year.

 

2.30pm - Be ready to leave on the coaches to depart for the Appleby Beach, in Ryde for some fun beach rugby.

Please make sure you take suitable clothing / footwear for this trip.   Possible towel / drink etc

Dads - Also make sure you have suitable clothing to join in with kids on the beach.

At 5 – 5.30pm Ralph Abercromby and some under 12 parents will have gone and got your supper – dad’s included.

Fish and Chips for Adults

Large Sausage and chips for kids including a drink.

You will then return to the holiday park early evening. -  7.00 pm

The rest of the evening is your own for fun in the holiday park.

 

Saturday – 24th April 2010

 

Breakfast is served at – 8.00am – til 9.00 am – Boathouse Restaurant.

Full English breakfast, toast, tea, coffee, orange juice.

 

10.00 am – Be ready for departing the holiday park to Medina Leisure Centre

Friendly game with Dorking RFC.  Our coaches are taking these guys too.  Two coach trips.

 

11.00am  -  Medina Leisure Park -  Pitches booked – Charlie Monro in charge of this booking

 

1.00 pm   - Grant Kilford / Under 12’s coaches will provide you with a packed lunch and drink

                  (Kids only)

 

1.45pm / 2.00pm -  Back to Holiday Park -  Two trips with Dorking RFC

Warm jumpers / Waterproof jackets

Swimming shorts / Towels

Washing items - well only if you want to!!!

Sleeping bag, sometimes the caravans are not that warm – optional

Bedding is provided, however it is only summer linen

Tour shirt – will be given to the boys on the 1st day of tour.

Packed lunch for the Friday - Parents please provide the kids and dads with a packed lunch to travel with.

 

Dress Code for Tour Dinner for ALL under 12’s children only please

 

As they are leaving the mini’s section and moving over to the senior’s at the end of this season.

It has been requested and traditional for all of the boys to be at the Tour Dinner in the correct dress code.

Therefore please have the following

Black/Dark smart trousers (like their black school trousers)

White Shirt

Jacket/Blazer (optional – only if you have one)

Pulborough Tie,   these will be given to all the Under 12 boys on the tour.

 

After Sunday’s breakfast at the holiday park, all catering is then down to the dad’s to provide.

Therefore snacks and drinks bottles needed here as per list.

 

At the festival you will find burger stands / etc.

 

Sunday evening - We hope to pick up supper for the kids and dad’s on the way home prior to your

crossing back to Portsmouth.

This will be arranged on the day by the Under 12’s dad’s tour committee.

IPods / phones / game boys / DS Lite / Teddies – all welcome for coach journey – however at your

own risk of lose/theft etc.

Packed lunch for the Friday - Parents please provide the kids and dads with a packed lunch to travel with.

Dress Code for Tour Dinner for ALL under 12's children only please

As they are leaving the mini's section and moving over to the senior's at the end of this season.

It has been requested and traditional for all of the boys to be at the Tour Dinner in the correct dress code.

Therefore please have the following

Black/Dark smart trousers (like their black school trousers)

White Shirt

Jacket/Blazer (optional – only if you have one)

Pulborough Tie, these will be given to all the Under 12 boys on the tour.

After Sunday's breakfast at the holiday park, all catering is then down to the dad's to provide.

Therefore snacks and drinks bottles needed here as per list.

At the festival you will find burger stands / etc.

Sunday evening - We hope to pick up supper for the kids and dad's on the way home prior to your

crossing back to Portsmouth.

This will be arranged on the day by the Under 12's dad's tour committee.
