We had 2 teams at the Winchester A festival last week and both did well. Under 9’s Just a quick note to update how Winchester went
Our Panthers team went to Winchester Sunday and performed brilliantly. 5 Games and 5 Draws truly superb defending and unbeaten and 3rd position overall. Well Done.
This was in face of some players unable to play at the last minute which brought us down to 9 men & 1 lady. It was a tough day but good performances overall..
Our Pumas Team went to Cranleigh and from John’s report played brilliantly as well, with a great front row and good performances from Oliver Tipple Scrum Half & Oliver Vigar Fly half. With a score of 7 tries to 3 to Pulborough.

Under 12’s What a day! What a result.
I am very proud to announce The Vandals Won The Plate at the Winchester tournament. We only lost one game and that was to the eventual winners Havant. The winners of each pool played for the cup and the runner up played in the Plate. We had 2 cry offs due to illness (1 of whom we had arranged a replacement but unfortunately he took ill too) and as the day wore on we suffered some casualties which needed some imaginative player rotation. The team talk before the plate final was very subdued, they were all too tired to speak. The food in Hampshire must be better than in West Sussex as all these teams seemed to have some real giants. But the little guys from Pulborough knocked them down and pushed them around all day. First silverware (OK it's glass but you know what I mean) of the season and hopefully not the last. A really fantastic performance from everyone. A real team performance. Everyone in the squad gave it their absolute all.
