Anna's Marathon (February 25, 2008)

Dear All

Our very own Anna Ramage, Mum to Euan, Marcus and Gregor, wife of coach John (U10s) and staunch PRFC member, is taking part in the London marathon on 13th April.   Please take the time to scroll down and read her message below, as you will see she is raising money for an extremely good cause.  Once you read the message it does strike home that all we have to worry about is muddy boots, shirts and shorts, not that our kids might not ever get to play on a rugby pitch.

There will be a rugby ball behind the bar for donations if you prefer to just donate a quid here and there, otherwise do please follow the link  www.justgiving.com/annaramage to donate on line.

And to you Anna, all at Pulborough Rugby Club wish you luck and we will certainly be thinking of you on the 13th April wherever we are!

Message follows:

Dear All

Some of you may have noticed I haven't been such a regular on the rugby touch line this season, unfortunately, this is not because of to long lie ins but due to long training runs on the downs.

I have decided this is the year of the marathon and I am trying to raise money for CHASE, a childrens hospice based in Guildford.

I am sure many of you have secretly been hoping for the final whistle at the end of a particulary cold training session,  or have silently cursed PMRFC when the washing machine has packed up due to the amount of mud it has consumed.  But I know you are all extremely grateful that the hundreds of children that turn out for rugby are healthy and fit enough to play.  So if you feel like me and would like to do something to help children who will never play mini rugby, please sponsor me.

You can either use www.justgiving.com/annaramage or I have a conventional sponsor form.  If you only have a couple of quid to spare pop it in the pot behind the bar and we'll put it together as a group donation from Pulbrough Rugby Club.

Thanks for your help and think of me on the 13 April, especially if you are on tour.

Anna
